Baghouse Dust Collector for Asphalt Plant is a fabric filtration system used to collect dust generated during aggregate handling, drying, screening, and asphalt mixing operations. It is commonly connected to the exhaust system of an asphalt plant to separate particulate matter from hot process gas.

During aggregate drying and heating, the hot gas stream can carry fine mineral dust, sand particles, and other solid materials. The dust-laden gas is directed through the baghouse, where filter bags provide the primary filtration surface.

The incoming gas enters the dust collection chamber and is distributed around the filter bags. Particles are retained on the outer surface of the bags while filtered gas passes into the clean-air chamber and exits through the outlet.

Because asphalt plants generate relatively hot process gas, temperature control is an important part of the dust collection arrangement. Gas temperature, moisture, dust concentration, and the characteristics of the aggregate should be considered when selecting filter bags and designing the inlet system.

As dust accumulates on the filter bags, pressure resistance increases. A pulse-jet cleaning system periodically releases compressed-air pulses to remove the deposited material. The detached dust falls into the hopper and can be returned to the production process or discharged through a suitable dust handling system, depending on the plant configuration.

The baghouse can be connected to the aggregate dryer, hot aggregate handling system, screening equipment, and asphalt mixing unit through a designed duct network. Fans, dampers, temperature sensors, differential pressure monitoring, and control components regulate the gas flow and operating conditions.

Working Process

  1. Hot dust-laden gas is generated during aggregate processing.

  2. The gas is conveyed through the exhaust duct.

  3. Gas enters the baghouse filtration chamber.

  4. Filter bags capture mineral dust and fine particles.

  5. Filtered gas moves into the clean-air chamber.

  6. Pulse cleaning removes accumulated dust from the bags.

  7. Dust falls into the hopper for collection or process reuse.
