Baghouse Dust Collector for Chemical Plant

Baghouse Dust Collector for Chemical Plant is a fabric filtration system used to collect particulate matter generated during chemical production, powder handling, material transfer, and other industrial processes. It can be configured for different gas compositions, temperatures, dust concentrations, and chemical conditions.

Chemical plants may generate dust from catalysts, pigments, mineral powders, chemical additives, salts, resins, fertilizers, and other solid materials. Dust can be released during conveying, feeding, crushing, grinding, drying, mixing, screening, and packaging.

Dust-laden gas enters the baghouse through the inlet and is distributed throughout the filtration chamber. The filter bags retain particulate matter on their filtration surfaces, while cleaned gas passes through the filter media into the clean-air chamber.

As dust accumulates, the pressure differential across the filter bags increases. A pulse-jet cleaning system uses short bursts of compressed air to remove the deposited material. The separated dust falls into the hopper and is collected or conveyed through the discharge system.

Filter media should be selected according to the chemical properties of the dust and gas. Polyester, PPS, aramid, fiberglass, PTFE-coated materials, and other filter media can be considered according to temperature, moisture, acidity, alkalinity, solvent exposure, and particulate characteristics.

For corrosive gas streams, suitable housing materials, coatings, seals, and internal components may be selected to match the operating environment. Where combustible chemical powders are present, the dust collection system should also incorporate appropriate process safety measures based on the material properties.

Working Process

  1. Dust-containing gas is extracted from the chemical process.

  2. The gas enters the baghouse filtration chamber.

  5. Pressure and operating conditions are monitored.

  6. Pulse cleaning removes accumulated dust.

  7. Separated material falls into the hopper for controlled discharge.
