Baghouse Dust Collector for Pharmaceutical Industry

Baghouse Dust Collector for Pharmaceutical Industry is used to collect airborne powders and particulate matter generated during pharmaceutical manufacturing and material handling. The system provides controlled airflow through a fabric filtration chamber and separates dust from the production exhaust.

Pharmaceutical production can involve fine powders, granules, raw materials, additives, and other particulate materials. Dust may be generated during feeding, conveying, weighing, crushing, milling, mixing, blending, granulation, and other processing steps.

The contaminated airflow enters the dirty-air chamber of the baghouse. Filter bags form the primary separation surface between the dirty and clean-air sections. As the air passes through the bags, particulate matter is retained on the filter media while the filtered air moves toward the clean-air outlet.

Dust accumulation gradually increases the resistance of the filter bags. A pulse-jet cleaning system can periodically release compressed-air pulses to remove the deposited material. The separated dust falls into the lower hopper and is collected or transferred through the selected discharge arrangement.

The filtration material can be selected according to powder properties, process temperature, moisture, chemical compatibility, and required cleaning conditions. Antistatic or other specialized filter materials may be considered when required by the process and powder characteristics.

The equipment housing, access points, sealing structure, dust discharge section, and internal surfaces can be configured according to the production environment and maintenance requirements. Where pharmaceutical powders are combustible, the dust collection arrangement should also consider applicable process safety and explosion protection requirements.

Working Process

  1. Dust-containing air is extracted from the production process.

  2. The airflow enters the dirty-air chamber.

  3. Filter bags retain suspended pharmaceutical powders.

  4. Filtered air passes into the clean-air chamber.

  5. Differential pressure is monitored.

  6. Pulse cleaning removes accumulated dust.

  7. Separated powder falls into the hopper for controlled collection.
