Baghouse Dust Collector for Power Plant
Baghouse Dust Collector for Power Plant
Baghouse Dust Collector for Power Plant is a fabric filtration system used to remove particulate matter from flue gas generated during fuel combustion and material handling. It can be applied to coal-fired, biomass-fired, waste-fired, and other industrial power generation processes where dust and ash are present in the gas stream.
Power plant flue gas may contain fly ash, fine mineral particles, unburned carbon, and other solid particulates. The gas is conveyed through the baghouse after appropriate upstream gas conditioning or treatment when required.
Dust-laden flue gas enters the filtration chamber and flows around the filter bags. Fine particles are retained on the outer surfaces of the bags, while cleaned gas passes through the filter media into the clean-air chamber.
As the dust layer builds up, the pressure differential across the filter bags increases. The pulse-jet cleaning system periodically releases compressed-air pulses to remove accumulated fly ash and dust. The detached material falls into the hopper and is conveyed through the ash discharge system.
Filter bag selection is based on flue gas temperature, moisture, chemical composition, dust concentration, and operating conditions. Polyester, PPS, aramid, fiberglass, PTFE-coated, and other filter materials can be selected for different temperature and chemical environments.
The baghouse can be integrated with other power plant emission control equipment, including gas cooling, desulfurization, denitrification, activated carbon injection, ash handling, and induced draft fan systems.
