Pulse Jet Baghouse Dust Collector

Pulse Jet Baghouse Dust Collector is an industrial fabric filtration system that uses filter bags and compressed-air pulse cleaning to remove dust and particulate matter from process air and exhaust gas. The pulse-jet system cleans the filter bags during operation, supporting continuous filtration without requiring the entire collector to be shut down.

Dust-laden gas enters the baghouse through the inlet and is distributed into the filtration chamber. The airflow passes through the filter bags, where particulate matter is retained on the filter surfaces. Cleaned gas then enters the clean-air chamber and exits through the outlet.

As dust accumulates on the filter bags, the pressure differential across the filtration chamber increases. When cleaning is required, the pulse controller activates the cleaning valves and releases short bursts of compressed air into selected filter bags. The pulse dislodges the accumulated dust, which falls into the hopper.

The dust collected in the hopper can be removed using a rotary airlock valve, screw conveyor, pneumatic conveying system, or other discharge equipment. The cleaning sequence can be controlled by differential pressure, time intervals, or a combination of operating parameters.

Pulse Jet Baghouse Dust Collectors can be designed with multiple filtration chambers, different filter bag quantities and lengths, and various hopper configurations. For large airflow applications, multi-compartment arrangements can provide a larger filtration area and flexible equipment layout.

Filter media should be selected according to gas temperature, humidity, chemical composition, dust concentration, particle size, and abrasion characteristics. Polyester, PPS, aramid, fiberglass, PTFE-coated, and other filter materials can be used for different industrial conditions.

Working Process

  1. Dust-laden gas enters the baghouse.

  2. Gas is distributed through the filtration chamber.

  3. Filter bags capture dust particles.

  4. Cleaned gas enters the clean-air chamber.

  5. Pressure differential is monitored.

  6. Pulse valves release compressed-air pulses to clean the bags.

  7. Detached dust falls into the hopper for discharge.
