Cartridge Type Dust Collector
Cartridge Type Dust Collector is an industrial air filtration unit that uses cartridge-shaped filter elements to capture particulate matter from dust-laden gas. The cartridges are mounted inside a sealed collector housing and separate the contaminated air from the clean-air flow path.
Dust-containing gas enters the inlet chamber and is guided toward the cartridge filters. The filter media allows air to pass through while retaining dust particles on the filtration surface. The cleaned air is collected in the clean-air chamber and discharged from the equipment outlet.
As the filtration process continues, the accumulated dust layer increases airflow resistance. A pulse cleaning system can periodically release compressed air into the cartridge filters. The resulting reverse airflow separates the deposited dust from the filter media and allows it to fall into the lower collection hopper.
The cartridge arrangement can be designed according to the required filtration area and equipment dimensions. Filters may be positioned vertically or horizontally, while access doors and removable structures provide access for inspection and replacement.
Different filter media and surface treatments can be selected according to the type of dust and operating environment. Factors such as gas temperature, humidity, particle size, dust concentration, and chemical composition should be considered when selecting the cartridge configuration.
The lower section can be equipped with a dust hopper and discharge device for collecting and removing the separated material. Differential pressure monitoring can be used to determine the condition of the filter elements and cleaning requirements.
