Plasma Waste Gas Treatment Equipment
Plasma Waste Gas Treatment Equipment is designed to treat selected gaseous pollutants through plasma discharge. Electrical energy is used to generate an ionized gas environment in which energetic electrons, ions, and reactive species interact with pollutant molecules in the exhaust stream.
The equipment generally consists of a treatment chamber, plasma electrode assembly, dielectric components where applicable, high-voltage power supply, gas inlet and outlet, and electrical control system. Waste gas enters the reaction zone and passes through the plasma field, where the generated reactive species participate in chemical reactions with target compounds.
Plasma treatment can be applied to certain VOCs, odor compounds, and other gaseous pollutants. The treatment mechanism and required operating conditions depend on pollutant composition, concentration, gas flow rate, humidity, temperature, residence time, and electrical discharge parameters.
Different plasma configurations can be selected according to the gas treatment process. Dielectric barrier discharge and other non-thermal plasma structures can be used where the gas needs to be treated without significantly increasing the overall gas temperature.
Plasma equipment can also be combined with filtration, adsorption, catalytic oxidation, or other treatment stages. The combination depends on the composition of the exhaust gas and the required treatment process.
