UV Photolysis Equipment

UV Photolysis Equipment is used to treat certain gaseous pollutants through ultraviolet irradiation. The process uses UV light at selected wavelengths to initiate photochemical reactions that break down or transform target compounds in an exhaust gas stream.

The equipment generally consists of a treatment chamber, ultraviolet lamp assembly, lamp protection components, gas inlet and outlet, electrical connections, and inspection access. Contaminated gas enters the chamber and passes through the UV irradiation zone, where pollutants are exposed to ultraviolet energy for a controlled period.

UV lamps can be arranged in rows or other configurations inside the reaction chamber. The number of lamps, irradiation intensity, gas residence time, chamber dimensions, and airflow distribution influence the treatment conditions.

For odor and VOC-related applications, photolysis may be combined with an oxidation process or downstream treatment stage. The appropriate process configuration depends on the composition and concentration of the exhaust gas, humidity, temperature, airflow rate, and required treatment conditions.

Regular inspection of the lamp surface, electrical components, sealing parts, and internal chamber is required to maintain the intended operating conditions. Lamp replacement intervals depend on lamp type, operating hours, and UV output characteristics.
