VOC Catalytic Combustion Equipment
VOC Catalytic Combustion Equipment
VOC Catalytic Combustion Equipment is used to treat exhaust gases containing volatile organic compounds through catalytic oxidation. The process uses a catalyst to promote the reaction of VOC molecules with oxygen under controlled temperature conditions.
The equipment typically includes a gas inlet, pretreatment section, heating chamber, catalytic reaction chamber, catalyst module, heat recovery section, and treated gas outlet. Exhaust gas enters the system and may first pass through a filtration stage to remove dust, oil mist, or other substances that could affect the catalyst.
After pretreatment, the gas is heated to the required reaction temperature before entering the catalytic bed. VOC molecules contact the catalyst surface and undergo oxidation, producing mainly carbon dioxide and water when complete oxidation conditions are achieved.
A heat exchanger can recover heat from the treated gas and transfer it to the incoming exhaust stream. This arrangement helps maintain the required process temperature and reduces the external heat input during stable operation.
The catalyst selection depends on VOC composition, concentration, gas temperature, oxygen content, humidity, and the presence of catalyst-inhibiting substances. Gas flow rate, residence time, reaction temperature, and pressure are also considered when determining the equipment configuration.
