VOC Catalytic Combustion System
VOC Catalytic Combustion System is a gas treatment system designed to reduce volatile organic compounds through controlled catalytic oxidation. It combines gas conditioning, temperature control, catalytic reaction, and exhaust heat management into a continuous treatment process.
The incoming exhaust is first checked for temperature, concentration, particulate content, and other characteristics that may influence the catalytic process. Where necessary, a filtration or pretreatment stage is installed before the gas reaches the reaction section.
A heating unit raises the exhaust temperature to the required catalytic operating range. The conditioned gas then enters the catalytic reactor, where VOC molecules contact the catalyst surface and react with oxygen. Under suitable conditions, the organic compounds are oxidized into carbon dioxide and water.
The system can use heat exchange between the treated outlet gas and the incoming exhaust. Recovered thermal energy can be transferred back to the inlet stream, helping maintain the operating temperature during continuous treatment.
Control components can monitor inlet and outlet temperatures, gas pressure, airflow, and other operating parameters. The system configuration is determined by VOC concentration, exhaust volume, compound characteristics, humidity, oxygen content, required reaction temperature, and catalyst properties.
