Bucket Elevator

Bucket Elevator is a vertical conveying machine used to raise bulk materials through a series of buckets moving along a continuous conveying path. It is commonly used where materials need to be transferred between different elevations without requiring a long horizontal conveying route.

The equipment generally includes a series of buckets, traction element, head section, tail section, casing, drive assembly, tensioning mechanism, feeding inlet, and discharge outlet. Material is introduced at the lower section and loaded into the buckets. The moving buckets transport the material upward before releasing it at the discharge section.

Different bucket arrangements and traction methods can be used according to the material being handled. Belt-type and chain-type configurations are suitable for different combinations of material weight, temperature, particle size, lifting height, and conveying capacity. Bucket dimensions and spacing can also be selected according to the required material flow.

Bucket Elevators are used in a wide range of bulk material handling processes, including cement production, grain processing, fertilizer manufacturing, mineral processing, chemical production, power generation, and building material handling. They can operate as individual conveying units or be connected with other equipment within a material transfer line.
