Drag Chain Conveyor

Drag Chain Conveyor is a bulk material handling machine that moves material by means of a continuous chain fitted with conveying flights. The chain travels along the conveyor body and carries or drags the material toward the discharge end.

The conveying path can be configured according to the production layout, with horizontal and inclined arrangements available for different material transfer requirements. Drive sprockets transmit motion to the chain, while return components guide the chain back through the conveying circuit.

The conveyor is suitable for materials that can be transported as a continuous layer, including coal, clinker, ash, grain, pellets, minerals, and other bulk solids. The conveying performance is affected by chain speed, flight dimensions, trough width, material density, particle size, moisture, and conveying distance.

Depending on the material and operating environment, the conveyor body can use an enclosed or partially enclosed structure. Wear-resistant liners and different chain or flight configurations can also be incorporated where the conveyed material causes increased abrasion.

Drag Chain Conveyors are used in cement production, power plants, coal handling, grain processing, mining, metallurgy, chemical processing, and other bulk material transportation systems.
