Powder Screw Conveyor

Powder Screw Conveyor is a mechanical conveying device designed for the controlled movement of powdered and fine-grained materials. A rotating screw shaft moves material along a trough or tubular housing from the feeding point to the discharge outlet.

The conveying section consists of a screw flight mounted around a central shaft. As the shaft rotates, the flight pushes the material forward through the conveying housing. Depending on the equipment arrangement, the conveyor can be installed horizontally or at a limited incline.

A closed tubular design can be used when the conveyed powder needs to be isolated from the surrounding environment. The housing can also include inspection openings, intermediate bearings, inlet ports, and discharge outlets according to the conveying distance and installation requirements.

Conveying performance depends on screw diameter, flight pitch, rotational speed, material bulk density, moisture content, particle size, and conveying length. Different screw configurations can be selected for free-flowing powders, fine particles, or materials with different flow characteristics.

Powder Screw Conveyors are used in cement processing, mineral handling, chemical production, fertilizer processing, food ingredient conveying, ash handling, and other powder material transportation systems.
