Industrial Cyclone Dust Collector

Industrial Cyclone Dust Collector is a mechanical dust separation device used to remove solid particles from an industrial air or gas stream. It separates dust primarily through centrifugal force rather than a fabric or cartridge filtration medium.

Dust-laden gas enters the cyclone body through a tangential inlet and forms a rotating flow inside the cylindrical and conical sections. As the gas rotates, centrifugal force drives heavier particles toward the outer wall. The particles lose velocity and move downward into the collection hopper, while the cleaned gas changes direction and exits through the central outlet tube.

The cyclone body generally consists of a cylindrical upper section, conical lower section, tangential inlet, outlet tube, and dust collection hopper. The internal dimensions and geometry influence pressure drop, gas velocity, particle separation, and overall operating conditions.

Cyclone Dust Collectors are often used as primary or pre-separation equipment before downstream filtration systems. They can remove relatively coarse and dense particles from the gas stream, reducing the particulate load entering subsequent equipment.

The design is determined by airflow volume, particle size, dust concentration, gas temperature, pressure, particle density, and the required separation characteristics.
