Flue Gas Desulfurization and DeNOx Equipment
Flue Gas Desulfurization and DeNOx Equipment
Flue Gas Desulfurization and DeNOx Equipment is used to reduce sulfur oxides and nitrogen oxides in industrial flue gas. The system combines sulfur dioxide removal and nitrogen oxide reduction processes within a flue gas treatment arrangement.
Flue gas first passes through the gas conditioning and distribution section before entering the desulfurization stage. Depending on the process configuration, an alkaline absorbent or slurry is brought into contact with the gas. Sulfur dioxide is transferred from the gas phase into the liquid or solid absorbent through absorption and chemical reaction.
The gas then enters the DeNOx section when nitrogen oxide reduction is required. Selective catalytic reduction or selective non-catalytic reduction processes may be used according to the gas temperature and system design. In these processes, a reducing agent reacts with nitrogen oxides and converts them primarily into nitrogen and water.
The equipment can include gas ducts, absorbers, reagent preparation units, spray systems, reaction chambers, catalysts or injection devices, demisters, fans, pumps, and control instruments. The exact arrangement depends on flue gas volume, temperature, pollutant concentration, reagent characteristics, and required emission conditions.
Dust removal can be installed upstream or integrated into the overall flue gas treatment line to reduce particulate loading on downstream components. Heat recovery and gas reheating sections may also be incorporated where required by the process.
