Dust Collector Cage

Dust Collector Cage is a structural support component used inside fabric filter bags in dust collection equipment. It provides a rigid internal framework that keeps the bag in its intended cylindrical form and maintains sufficient space for air to pass through the filtration surface.

The cage is assembled from vertical wires and reinforcing rings that form a lightweight metal framework. Its dimensions are selected according to the filter bag diameter, length, and mounting arrangement. The top section may be designed with different connection methods for installation into the dust collector, while the lower section provides support and alignment inside the bag.

The cage is particularly important in systems using pulse cleaning. When compressed air is introduced into the filter bag, the fabric expands outward and accumulated dust is released from the outer surface. The cage controls the internal geometry of the bag during this repeated movement.

Material and surface treatment can be selected according to the dust collector operating environment. Galvanized steel, carbon steel, stainless steel, and coated wire are commonly used for different temperature and corrosion conditions.
