Dust Collector Filter Cage

Dust Collector Filter Cage is a metal support structure installed inside a filter bag to maintain its shape during dust collection and cleaning operations. It prevents the flexible filter bag from collapsing under the pressure difference created during filtration and provides structural support throughout repeated cleaning cycles.

The cage is generally composed of vertical wires, horizontal support rings, a top connection, and a bottom section. The number and arrangement of vertical wires determine the overall rigidity and support pattern. Different cage designs can be produced with varying wire diameters, ring spacing, lengths, and connection structures.

The cage is inserted into the filter bag before installation in the dust collector. During pulse jet cleaning, compressed air causes the filter bag to expand and move against the surrounding dust layer. The supporting cage maintains the required internal geometry while allowing the bag to undergo repeated cleaning movement.

Material selection depends on operating temperature, moisture, corrosion conditions, and the characteristics of the filtration environment. Carbon steel, galvanized steel, stainless steel, and coated wire options can be used for different service conditions.
