Filter Bag Cage

Filter Bag Cage is a rigid internal framework designed to support a fabric filter bag inside a baghouse dust collector. It provides the shape required for the filter bag to remain open during the filtration cycle and supports the fabric against pressure changes within the filter chamber.

The cage is assembled from longitudinal wires and horizontal rings or other reinforcing elements. The overall configuration can vary according to the diameter, length, and construction of the filter bag. The upper connection may include a venturi, clamp, or other mounting arrangement, while the lower section can be formed with different end configurations.

During operation, dust-laden air passes through the filter bag while the cage remains inside the fabric element. In pulse jet systems, compressed air causes the bag to expand rapidly during cleaning. The cage provides internal support while allowing the filter bag to flex around its surface.

Filter Bag Cages can be manufactured from carbon steel, galvanized steel, stainless steel, or coated materials. Material and surface treatment selection depends on temperature, humidity, chemical exposure, and corrosion conditions within the dust collection system.
