ESP Collecting Electrode Plate

ESP Collecting Electrode Plate is a conductive plate used as the collecting surface in an electrostatic precipitator. It provides a large-area surface toward which electrically charged dust particles are driven by the electric field inside the ESP.

The collecting plate is installed in parallel rows within the gas passage. A controlled spacing is maintained between the collecting electrodes and the discharge electrodes to form the required electric field. As dust-laden gas flows through the electrode field, particles receive an electrical charge and migrate toward the collecting plates.

The accumulated dust forms a layer on the plate surface. A rapping system periodically applies mechanical vibration or impact to the collecting electrode structure, causing the dust layer to separate from the plate and fall into the hopper.

The plate profile, thickness, length, width, suspension arrangement, and reinforcing structure can be selected according to the ESP design. Material selection depends on operating temperature, gas composition, corrosion conditions, mechanical loads, and the required structural strength.
