ESP Rapping Hammer

ESP Rapping Hammer is a mechanical cleaning component used in electrostatic precipitators to remove accumulated dust from collecting electrodes. It generates a controlled mechanical impact on the electrode support structure, causing the deposited dust layer to detach from the collecting surface.

The rapping hammer is generally connected to a rapping shaft, anvil, or other impact transmission component. When the mechanism operates, the hammer strikes the designated impact point and transfers vibration through the electrode assembly. The resulting movement causes collected particulate matter to fall into the hopper below.

Different rapping arrangements can be used for collecting plates, collecting tubes, or other electrode structures. The impact force, hammer dimensions, shaft arrangement, and operating sequence are selected according to the size and configuration of the electrostatic precipitator.

The hammer can be manufactured from suitable metal materials according to the required mechanical strength, impact resistance, operating temperature, and service conditions. Proper alignment between the hammer and impact point is important for transmitting the required mechanical force.
