Pneumatic Ash Conveying System
Pneumatic Ash Conveying System is used to transport collected ash through pipelines by means of pressurized air or vacuum airflow. It provides a closed route for transferring fly ash and other fine particulate residues from collection points to a storage or processing location.
Ash is normally discharged from hoppers or collection chambers into a feeding device before entering the conveying pipeline. The airflow carries the ash through the pipeline toward a receiving vessel, ash silo, or separation unit. Air and solid material are separated at the receiving end, allowing the conveying air to be filtered before release or recirculation.
The system can be arranged as a positive-pressure, vacuum, or combined conveying configuration. The selection depends on conveying distance, number of collection points, ash characteristics, system layout, and required transport capacity.
Important design parameters include pipeline diameter, conveying air velocity, operating pressure, ash bulk density, particle size, moisture content, conveying distance, and material temperature. Valves and control devices can regulate the transfer sequence between multiple ash collection points.
Pneumatic Ash Conveying Systems are used in power plants, cement production, industrial boilers, waste incineration facilities, steel plants, and other processes where fine ash is collected and transferred through a closed material handling route.
