Butterfly Valve

Butterfly Valve is a quarter-turn valve used to start, stop, or regulate the flow of air, gas, and other compatible media. A circular disc is positioned inside the valve body and rotates around a shaft, changing the opening available for fluid or gas passage.

The valve can be installed between pipeline sections or at equipment connections. Turning the disc through its operating range changes the flow area. Manual handles, gear operators, pneumatic actuators, and electric actuators can be used according to the required method of operation.

A Butterfly Valve generally consists of a valve body, disc, stem, seat, and operating mechanism. The body and internal components can be manufactured from different materials depending on the medium, temperature, pressure, corrosion conditions, and installation environment.

Different connection styles are available, including wafer, lug, and flanged configurations. The nominal diameter, pressure rating, sealing material, disc material, and actuator type can be selected according to the pipeline design and operating conditions.
