Industrial Slide Gate Valve

Industrial Slide Gate Valve is used to isolate and control the discharge of dry bulk materials in industrial processing and conveying equipment. Its primary closing element is a flat metal plate that moves along a straight path through the valve housing.

The valve can be installed at the outlet of a hopper, silo, dust collection unit, storage bin, or material chute. When the gate plate is withdrawn, material can move through the opening under gravity or with assistance from the connected conveying equipment. Closing the plate interrupts the material flow and separates the upstream and downstream sections.

The gate can be operated with a handwheel, screw mechanism, pneumatic cylinder, or electric actuator. The operating configuration can be selected according to valve dimensions, installation conditions, access requirements, and the desired control method.

For applications involving abrasive powders or granular solids, the gate plate, guides, and internal contact surfaces can be constructed with materials suitable for repeated material movement. Sealing components can be arranged along the gate opening to limit dust escape during operation.

The valve size and structure depend on the material characteristics, discharge opening, temperature, pressure, particle size, bulk density, and required flow capacity. Different flange dimensions and installation configurations can be incorporated into material handling equipment.
