Slide Gate Valve

Slide Gate Valve is a shut-off device used to control the passage of bulk materials, powders, dust, and other dry solids. A flat gate moves linearly across the flow opening, allowing the material passage to be opened, restricted, or closed.

The valve is commonly installed below hoppers, silos, dust collectors, bins, and other material handling equipment. When the gate is pulled or pushed through the valve body, it changes the available discharge opening. The straight-through structure provides a simple material path with limited obstruction when the gate is fully open.

Manual, pneumatic, or electric operating mechanisms can be selected according to the installation and control requirements. The valve body, gate plate, sealing components, and operating parts can be configured according to material characteristics and operating conditions.

For dusty or fine-particle applications, the sealing arrangement helps limit material leakage around the moving gate. Material selection depends on factors such as particle size, temperature, moisture, abrasiveness, and corrosion conditions.
