Wet Electrostatic Dust Collector
Wet Electrostatic Dust Collector
Wet Electrostatic Dust Collector is an industrial dust collection device that uses an electrostatic field to remove fine particulate matter, mist, and suspended contaminants from gas streams. The collected material is removed from the electrode surfaces through a wet washing process.
Dust-laden gas enters the collector through the inlet and is distributed across the electrostatic collection chamber. High-voltage discharge electrodes generate an electrical field that charges suspended particles as they pass through the treatment zone.
The charged particles move toward the collecting electrodes and accumulate on their surfaces. Water or another suitable washing liquid is then used to remove the deposited material. The liquid carries the collected dust and mist downward into the drainage section.
The collector can use tubular or plate-type collecting electrodes depending on the gas flow arrangement and internal equipment dimensions. Gas distribution components help maintain a suitable flow pattern through the collection area.
Compared with dry electrostatic dust collection, the wet cleaning method is suitable for particulate matter that is sticky, wet, or mixed with liquid mist. It can also be used as part of a larger industrial gas treatment line.
The equipment configuration depends on airflow volume, dust concentration, particle size, mist content, gas temperature, humidity, chemical composition, electrode arrangement, and required operating conditions.
