Wet Electrostatic Precipitator System
Wet Electrostatic Precipitator System is an integrated gas treatment system designed to remove fine particles, acid mist, oil mist, and liquid droplets from industrial exhaust gas. It combines electrostatic precipitation with a liquid washing process for collecting and removing contaminants from the electrode surfaces.
The contaminated gas enters the system through the inlet and passes through a gas distribution section before reaching the precipitation chamber. Inside the chamber, discharge electrodes and collecting electrodes form an electrostatic field. Suspended particles and droplets become electrically charged and move toward the collecting surfaces.
The collecting electrodes are cleaned by water or another suitable liquid. The washing liquid flows over the electrode surfaces, captures the deposited material, and carries it toward the lower drainage section. Depending on the process configuration, electrode washing can be continuous, intermittent, or controlled according to operating conditions.
The system may include multiple treatment chambers when a larger gas volume or staged gas treatment process is required. Gas distribution components help maintain an appropriate flow pattern through each precipitation section.
A complete system can also incorporate gas cooling, upstream dust removal, scrubbers, fans, pumps, water circulation, drainage, and monitoring equipment. The arrangement depends on the temperature, flow rate, pollutant composition, moisture, and corrosion characteristics of the incoming gas.
Operating parameters such as gas velocity, electrical voltage and current, water flow, temperature, pressure, and differential pressure can be monitored through the control system.
