Wet ESP System
Wet ESP System
Wet ESP System is an integrated gas cleaning system that uses electrostatic separation and wet electrode cleaning to remove fine particulate matter, acid mist, oil mist, and liquid droplets from industrial gas streams.
The system directs contaminated gas through an electrostatic treatment section containing discharge and collecting electrodes. A high-voltage power supply generates an electrical field that charges suspended particles and droplets. The charged contaminants then migrate toward the collecting electrodes.
The collecting surfaces are cleaned with water or another suitable washing liquid. The washing system distributes liquid across the electrode surfaces, removing accumulated material and carrying it downward to the drainage section. This continuous or scheduled washing process helps maintain the collection surfaces during operation.
A complete Wet ESP System can include gas inlet and outlet ducts, gas distribution equipment, electrostatic collecting chambers, high-voltage power supplies, electrode assemblies, washing and water circulation equipment, drainage components, insulators, fans, monitoring instruments, and control systems.
The system can be arranged as a standalone gas treatment stage or integrated with upstream and downstream equipment. Dust collectors, scrubbers, desulfurization units, gas cooling equipment, or other treatment processes can be combined according to the characteristics of the gas stream.
System design depends on gas flow rate, pollutant concentration, particle size, mist characteristics, gas temperature, moisture, corrosive components, electrical conditions, and required treatment sequence.
